Kotobukiya adds another character to the Bat Family roster with DC Comics’ Batwoman! This 1/7th scale statue is part of Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo line and commemorates the new Batwoman TV series.

As part of the Bishoujo line, this statue of Kate Kane is reimagined in the style of Shunya Yamashita’s illustrations. Here, we see Yamashita’s distinct Japanese “pin-up girl” style like with his other Bishoujo reimaginations of the women of DC Comics.

While keeping up with the “Pretty Girl” aesthetic, this Bishoujo statue of Batwoman is also rendered similar to her appearance in the New 52 comics. We see her crimson and black costume sculpted well and has that shiny look. The porcelain skin tone and bodysuit also stay faithful to Batwoman’s comic book renditions. Her overall look goes well with her pose as she grabs her cape while her red hair flows behind her.

This second edition release now has an updated packaging and paint compared to the original 2015 release. The statue now has a metallic paint finish that gives the sculpt and costume design a more realistic look. It also comes with an alternate head that features an unmasked Kate Kane sporting a bob cut.
